Many of us recall being asked by a family member or teacher in our early academic years, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” We would enthusiastically shout, “A doctor! A teacher! A firefighter! A businessperson! An NFL player!” While these professions are honorable and aspirational, at this early age, we have little awareness of the vast number of career fields and professions that exist. In this session, we will cover examples of how career exploration is embedded in National Geographic Learning CTE programs and tips and tricks to make career exploration fun and engaging for your students.
