Advisor Professional Learning

DECA’s Mastermind Conference is the premier professional learning experience for DECA’s association leaders. Through participating in the Mastermind Conference, attendees will:

Learn practices, policies and strategies around the functions of a chartered association, including: association management, association and chapter development, program management, and advocacy and communications.
Understand the role of the chartered association and its relationship to DECA Inc. and its programs and services.
Receive professional development specific to the roles and responsibilities of a chartered association advisor.
Learn updates about DECA Inc. programs and services.
Preview ICDC conference plans in the context of the role of the chartered association advisor.

Registration Deadline

June 6, 2025

Registration will open in Spring 2025.

Participants must be designated by the chartered association’s DECA Inc. Representative(s) and may include, but are not limited to: DECA Inc. Representatives, Chartered Association Advisors, Chartered Association DECA Board Members, and Teacher Educators.

DECA will allocate $500 for each official DECA Inc. Representative attending the Mastermind Conference in Atlanta. Appointment or reappointment of official DECA Inc. representative will be requested in a separate communication. The DECA Inc. Representative or designated alternate MUST attend the DECA Inc. meeting in order to claim these allocated funds. The allocation from DECA represents the total reimbursement available.

DECA will provide three (3) nights lodging to each official DECA Inc. representative at no cost checking in on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, and checking out on Friday, August 15, 2025. Hotels will be assigned based on the receipt of the registration form and availability.
