The McKelvey Foundation's awards $40,000 scholarships to high school seniors from across the county who own and operate their own business while in high school. We provide 2 main opportunities to them: 1) provide money for them to attend college and 2) provide networking resources for them to help grow their entrepreneurial spirit. Scholars qualify by owning their business for at least 1 year, having at least one employee and earning sales revenue (unless they are a non-profit organization). We host a summer program, called e-Venture, which brings our scholars together to network, form business partnerships and personal friendships.

We currently have 61 entrepreneurial scholars and will be accepting 100 more in 2008.
