Your Day As a Judge

Delta Epsilon Chi International Career Development Conference
Hyatt Regency, Atlanta, Georgia

Prior to coming to the conference to judge, you will receive a confirmation letter indicating the event and time you are scheduled to judge along with an information sheet on where to report, parking information, etc. Listed below are further details about your day.

You are judging:

As a judge, you will be evaluating 15-20 of the country’s top marketing students in different occupational events (i.e., finance, hospitality, entrepreneurship, retail, sales and service). Event types vary from role-play situations to prepared presentations to management decision making events. Judges are fully trained on the day of competition and are fully prepared to evaluate the students before competition begins.

Participation benefits you and your company:

  • You can help these outstanding students reinforce and continue to develop the skills necessary for successful careers with companies like yours.
  • Participating in the conference(s) demonstrates to thousands of students, their teachers and parents, and to the communities that you do business in, that education is important to your company.
  • It's a great feeling to experience what is good about the youth and America's future, as opposed to all the negatives we hear on the news.

DECA/Delta Epsilon Chi looks for professionals with a knowledge of marketing, management and/or entrepreneurship; plus there are specific events in design, finance, business ethics and business law.
