Prior to coming to the conference to judge, you will receive a confirmation letter indicating
the event and time you are scheduled to judge along with an information sheet on where to report, parking
information, etc. Listed below are further details about your day.
You are judging:
As a judge, you will be evaluating 15-20 of the country’s top marketing students
in different occupational events (i.e., finance, hospitality, entrepreneurship,
retail, sales and service). Event types vary from role-play situations to prepared
presentations to management decision making events. Judges are fully trained
on the day of competition and are fully prepared to evaluate the students before
competition begins.

like yours.
- Participating in the conference(s) demonstrates to thousands of
students, their teachers and parents, and to the communities that you do
business in, that education is important to your company.

America's future, as opposed to all the negatives we hear on the news.
DECA/Delta Epsilon Chi looks for professionals with
a knowledge of marketing, management and/or entrepreneurship;
plus there are specific events in design, finance, business
ethics and business law.
April 14: Report at 8:00 a.m., Hyatt Regency,
Hanover Hall
Your Typical Schedule:
- Please report to Hyatt Regency, 265 Peachtree St. NE, Atlanta, GA, 30303, (404) 577–1234
- Parking will be determined at a later date.
- Report to Judge Registration (Hanover Hall)
- Fill out Yellow Registration Card
- Take registration card to event that you are judging (events signs are posted on pipe and drape behind tables)
- A staff person will check you in, validate your parking ticket and hand you your name badge
- Inside the room there will be tables set up with event names. Please help yourself to a continental breakfast and report to the table that has the event you are judging.
- At your event table, review your judge packet
- A teacher that is running your event will
soon be there to brief you on the event and
escort you to the location of the competition
area
- You will then interact with 15-20 students
- Breaks will be provided
- Lunch will be provided
- At the end of your event, you are free to leave
- Thank you for your participation

*If you do not know the event that you are judging,
please ask the DECA staff person.
Some events may end a little earlier or go a
little later, depending on the number of students
and the flow of the event. Please remember that
it is crucial for you to serve the entire timeframe
of your scheduled event to ensure fairness to
all students.
