DECA has thousands of advocates in the business, education and public policy arenas. Two of the most visible are the Congressional Advisory Board and the National Advisory Board.

Over 30 members of the US Congress lend their name in support of DECA by serving on DECA’s Congressional Advisory Board (CAB). Members to the CAB support the co-curricular programs offered by DECA as a way of expanding leadership opportunities for students. For a list of the CAB click here.

Over 70 corporations, foundations and associations have formalized their advocacy of DECA by joining The National Advisory Board (NAB). As members of the National Advisory Board these organization contribute both their funds and expertise to support DECA’s programs and activities. For a list of the NAB click here.

The U.S. Department of Education has issued policy statements in support of DECA as one of the Career and Technical Student Organizations for over 40 years. A copy of the last policy statement is available by clicking here.

Recognizing that DECA and the other career and technical student organizations provide students with employability skills, business partnerships, community outreach, leadership opportunities, school-to-career solutions, and comprehensive programs in career majors, The National Association of State Directors of Career and Technical Education endorses implementation of career and technical student organizations as an integral part of the instructional program. The National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP) annually reviews student conferences for inclusion on its official list of approved activities. DECA conferences have been endorsed by NASSP for more that 30 years.
