Judges Needed for ICDC
DECA is currently searching for business professionals to serve as judges for the International Career Development Conference in Anaheim, California. Judges are needed on Friday, May 1 and Saturday, May 2, 2009. If you have experience in the fields of marketing, management, entrepreneurship, retail, sales, finance, accounting, hospitality, sports and entertainment, fashion merchandising, etc. please visit http://www.deca.org/pdf/HSJudgeForm.pdf to register as a competitive event judge. In order to operate a successful conference or our members DECA must secure approximately 900 volunteers from the Anaheim/Orange County area to serve as competitive event judges. Virtual Business Challenge–Round 2
Team registration for the DECA Virtual Business Challenge Round 2–Sports and Retail will take place January 5 – 30, 2009. Please register at http://vbc.knowledgematters.com/vbc/.

DECA School Based Enterprises
School stores that are interested in getting certified should go to www.schoolbasedenterprises.org to download the Certification Guidelines for 08–09. If you plan to get your SBE certified this year, download the guidelines today. The deadline for submitting your documentation to DECA Inc. is January 14, 2009.

Scholarships
The DECA scholarship booklets are in the mail. Students may apply for multiple scholarships, providing they meet the criteria. Supporting documentation must accompany each application. The deadline for each scholarship is on the application form; however most must be postmarked February 13, 2009. Click here for scholarship applications.
